Paddleboarding?

So, we read that stand up paddleboarding is the newest fast growing sport.
You stand up on a board and paddle yourself around. Okay this is fun (maybe).

Parasailing seems a bit more exciting.

These kayakers loooked neat all together in the water.

HarbourTown

We visited Harbourtown. We climbed the 114 steps to the top of the lighthouse. Each landing had a plaque with the history of Hilton Head so we were learning stuff and burning calories.
Very picturesque place.

Hilton Head Monday

We spent the morning at the beach. It is very flat with a gradual slope into the water and in the water. So, you have to walk a ways for the water to be chest high. The water was fabulous, so warm and calm and clean. We all enjoyed the ocean. This is Joey sand creature - a serpent.
Our condo is great. This is the view from our balcony. We are looking at the alligator who lives in the lagoon.

Hilton Head here we come

We left Cary about 830am arrived in Hilton Head about 300 pm. We had a stop in Florence, SC for lunch. The island is beautiful, very green and well planned out. We are staying at Spinnaker Waterside. Very nice place. Good size. Great pool. Our balcony overlooks a lagoon with an alligator. Dave and I took a dip in the hot tub and then the pool in the evening after a walk to the beach.

Garden June

Well, this is my garden at the beginning of June. The tomatoes have gone wild. I have picked a few tomatoes, a few cukes and 1 green pepper. The zuchini plants died due to squash borers - bummer - I had to buy squash. The cucumbers are on the trellis and are trying to pull the screen out of the window.
