June 24 Update on Straw Bales
S0, here's as update on the straw bale gardening. The tomatoes are looking great. We put cages on the 2 Roma tomatoes. The other tomatoes may not be getting enough sun but are full of blossoms. I did pick 3 cherry tomatoes. The cukes looks good and have baby cukes on them.

Straw Gardening II
Well, it has been over a month since I planted my straw bale garden. The plants are still alive though some look better than others. I have been watering them almost every day unless it rains, which it has not done in over a week. The first 2 photos are the tomatoes and cukes. Two of the bales are under the trellis so the cuke vines can climb. Two of the tomato plants have tomatoes on them. I am still worried that the plants will just die one day for now reason other than they are planted in a bale of straw. The last photo is of the green peppers and the zuchinni - they don't look so good. So, I will continue with this experiment and let you know.
