Christmas Day

Christmas started with checking out the stockings that were hung by the chimney with care. Then onto the presents under the tree. TJ liked to be in the middle of everything. Santa brought TJ a chew stick which he enjoyed. I made barbequed ribs on the grill for an early dinner.

Merry Christmas! 2011

Good Morning to All. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas weekend. We went out to dinner last night on our annual trip to the Japanese restaurant for Christmas Eve. I know it was actually Christmas Eve Eve but I am working on Christmas Eve so we had to do it a day early. The weather here is very warm for winter. I am still cutting lettuce from my garden and I am planning on using the grill for our Christmas dinner. Is this what happens in global warming? Here is a photo of our new Christmas tree. Merry, Merry, Ho, Ho!

Ski trip Dec. 2011 day 2

The boys decided to try snowboarding today. More lessons for them but they seemed to get the hang of it for the most part. I tried to get my courage up to go down the hill that I went down yesterday but I couldn't do it. Dave was able to ski, also. He took lessons yesterday and then waited with me as I fell my way down the hill.

Ski Trip Dec. 2011 day 1

Merry Christmas! Our gift this year is a trip to Snowshoe Mountain, West VA to try skiing and snowboarding. After a ski lesson, we hit the slopes. Joey and Ben did well for first timers and were able to make it down the hill and onto the ski lift and back down again. Meanwhile, I fell down the slope over and over. No injuries just sore muscles.
We are staying at a condo in Silvercreek which is a one bedroom with a loft. It has 2 bathrooms, a bedroom down and the loft is a bedroom. It is small but big enough for our needs. We just have so much stuff with our ski jackets, pants, boots, skis, poles, etc. It has well equipped kitchen so we have been eating in.
There is snow on the mountain though the temps are not too cold. They had snow the day before we got here and also made snow for the slopes.
